Sun, rain, road grime and coastal conditions all ask a lot of your vehicle’s paint. Ceramic coating adds a protective layer that helps make contamination easier to remove.
It is not a substitute for washing, and it cannot prevent stone chips or every scratch. Good preparation and ongoing care matter just as much as the coating.

A coating is only
part of the process.
Wash and surface preparation come first. Where needed, paint correction addresses suitable imperfections before a coating is applied by hand and left to cure.
New cars, daily drivers and well-kept weekend vehicles need different preparation. We assess the paint before agreeing the work.

What does ceramic
coating actually do?
A water-repelling surface
Hydrophobic behaviour means water tends to bead and release from the coated surface. It helps with washing, but it does not make a car self-cleaning or prevent mineral deposits if water dries on the paint.
Gloss you can maintain
A coating complements the clarity of properly prepared paint. Correction creates the improved finish; coating adds a surface intended to make it easier to care for.
Care for Queensland conditions
Sun exposure, road grime, insects and coastal contamination make regular maintenance important. Coating provides an additional protective surface; the exact UV and chemical-resistance properties depend on the chosen product.
Contaminants still need attention
Bird droppings, tree sap and other deposits should be removed promptly and carefully. Leaving contamination on a coated car can still lead to staining or etching.

Inspect under suitable lighting and assess the paint before work begins. Discuss defects and the result that is realistic.

Wash & decontaminate
Remove embedded contamination with appropriate preparation, including clay and iron/fallout removal where needed.

Correct the finish
Machine polishing addresses suitable swirls, marring and surface defects before protection. The approach depends on the paint.
- 04
Apply & cure
Apply the coating to the prepared surface and allow the required curing time. Product instructions determine the specific conditions and timing.
- 05
Inspect & hand over
Review the finish together and discuss how to look after the vehicle. Our workshop shares progress photographs during the job.

Does a new car need preparation?
Yes. New vehicles can carry transport contamination or fine marks. Inspecting and preparing the surface matters before a coating is applied.
Can you coat a used car?
Yes, when the surfaces are suitable. A used car may benefit from more correction before protection. Failed clear coat or deep damage needs a repair assessment first.

How do I care for a coated car?
Follow the curing and wash instructions supplied with your chosen coating. Use a suitable gentle wash method, clean wash media and careful drying. Avoid abrasive automatic washes.
How long does ceramic coating last?
There is no single lifespan for every coating or car. The product, preparation, storage, driving conditions and maintenance all influence durability. Ask for the specific product and written care information with your quote.
Water repellency can change as the surface accumulates contamination. Before assuming the coating has failed, ask the workshop about suitable cleaning and maintenance.

Does my car need paint correction first?
Not every vehicle needs the same level of correction. An inspection identifies swirls, haze and defects so the preparation can be matched to the condition of the paint.
Can you coat a new car?
Yes. New paint still needs to be inspected and decontaminated. Transport marks or fine swirls may need attention before coating.
How long will the coating last?
Durability depends on the selected coating, preparation, use, storage and maintenance. Ask for the product-specific care and durability information with your quote.
Does ceramic coating stop stone chips?
No. Ceramic coating is not paint protection film and is not a barrier against stone impacts.
Can you protect a caravan or boat?
